What would you do with $6000?
Seriously....I have $6k cash and need to think of a way (A LEGAL WAY ) to flip it into more.
I used to have a good jump on the car flipping game. I'd buy a project (mid 60s to early 70s muscle) car, usually something somene lost interest in or ran out of money restoring, then finish it, then flip it. I did several, then lost my momentum when I put all the money from the sale of my last project toward our new house. Now the muscle car market is flooded with people that think their $100 POS Chevy Vega is worth as much as a 69 Camaro. My wife and I both have great jobs making decent salaries. Our combined income is approx $130k annually before bonus. Many will say that is plenty of money to get by on, but somehow the wife seems to THINK that there's an extra ZERO on that figure somewhere. And although it may SOUND like decent money, start subtracting a $2000 mortgage, $1200 combined car payments, $400 electric bills (Houston TX), and at least $600-700 in credit card payments (paying more than minimum to battle the APR) and your usual miscellaneous expenditures (gas, groceries, recreation, etc) totaling at least another $1000.....and you'll start to get my point. I simply have the hardest time getting the wife to realize when and when NOT to spend money. She won't even login to the B of A account to check the balance before spending. I even go so far as to log on each day myself...then send her balance alerts, letting her know what's available. Does that work, you ask? If it did, I probably wouldn't be writing this Sure, I could divorce her...but she's really a good girl...that simply has a poor financila understanding. Anyhoo....I could just let the $6k sit in the bank, but I am constantly supplementing our income when she gets out of control to keep from paying NSF fees and what not. Just 2 months ago, $6000 was $8000. That's to let you know how bad things are. Soon, we will have nothing left for hard(er) times. I even had to turn down my 2010 Camaro arrival last week and get my deposit back, because I'm so unsure where things are going to go That's why I am looking for someway to supplement my income. Maybe there is a product that's somewhat in demand currently that I can save on by buying in bulk, then sell locally or on eBay or Craigslist??? I'd love to start a home-based business to supplement my income. Im all out of ideas I know that many of you will suggest a 2nd/part-time job. Of course, I have considered this route, but I don't want to take away from quality time from my family. A part-time will be a last resort. And please...No flaming! I AM NOT CRYING/WHINING. Just looking for good ideas. I talk to many of you on here all the time, and many of you seem to have good wits about yourselves, so I thought I'd start with YOU. If anyone has any viable ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks for your time and your thoughts...and take care

Take $2K and take it to a good Local casino, take the other $4K and pay of any high interest debt! Go right over to the high roller slots, a small prize can add up fast!

Funny you should mention this. I, too, have 6k in cash in the safe at home. I thought about putting orange ghost stripes on my car and doing headers, exhaust and CAI.
