Cost of Pirelli P Zero replacement tires.

Todays Wall Street Journal has a headline article on the cost of Replacement tires on the Camaro and other makes. They interview a Camaro 6cyl owner paying over $500.00 for one P-Zero replacement tire. I'm not sure how accurate this article is but I was thinking of all the Youtube guys impressing each other with their Camaros burnouts. I know I'll be taking it easy with my SS.

Ouch, checked tirerack. 366 and 407 front and rear for the 20's and 402/494 for the 21s. Have fun with that .

Simple solution, I'm not going to replace my overpriced Pirelli P Zero with a new set when they wear out.

Last I heard the Pirrelli's on the car are $400 on the fronts and $450 on the backs..

So I'm guessing in that general area, if you get then from Pirrelli..

If you get them from tire rack im sure they will be a little cheaper..

Idk what I am going to replace mine with..

Plus mine arent bald yet like Scott's..

haha you should feel his tire than feel mine..

Thank the lord both of my sons work for Discount Tire. My oldest already has my replacements picked out. However the dealer said they had a warranty that they'd replace them at no cost if anything happened to them in the 1st 5 years. I haven't found that in writing. Has anyone else heard that?

Nope that article is correct. The tire is actually 475 but once you add the tax and other stuff it ends up over 500. I almost had to replace one at 3000 miles because of a nail and was told from plenty tire companies 513 to replace on the lowest est I got was 507. Lucky for me I found someone who was willing to patch the tire. No problems since and I'm at 9100 miles.

My neighbor got a flat on his 2SS and needed a new rear tire. he paid $410. Beware, when he got his P-Zero it said Rosso on it and did not match the other three. There are several variations of the P-Zero tire. I went to Tire Rack and priced our tires and like a previous poster said, the rears are $406 and the fronts are $366. That means that when replacement time rolls around, we are talking almost two grand with mounting and balancing.

Expensive tires + Short tread life + lots of miles per year = crapload of money every year on tires.... no thanks.

I'm putting wheels/snow tires on for the winter, so I guess I have a few months to research replacements.

I just got custom forged rims in 19 x 9.5 size and I was able to get Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's in a 275/40-19 for $175 each. The money I'm going to save on tires alone will pay for the rims in a few years lol. I can get a full set of 4 tires for less than 2 Pirelli's.

Pzero factroy tires for sale

I have a second set of tires from left over from the set I took off of my car that had 250 mile on them. I installed a set of chromes factory with the tires already mounted. I am thinking about selling them for $1,2000 shipped to the lower 48 states for the whole set off of the front and rear if anyone needs them. I have the 2SS.

Doc, what kind of rims did you get? Also wondering on how you recalibrated the d speedo and if you felt any difference in acceleration compared to the 20's?

Thanks!
