Anyone else hate the chrome strip on the bottom of the RS tail lights?

I slapped a strip of black vinyl along the chrome strip to see how it would look. Not sure if I like it or not. I can’t stand the chrome strip though and I don’t want those laggy hero tail lights.

I never even noticed it was there...til now. Thanks a lot. I guess I can live with it. I don’t like the condensation in the lenses far worse.

I think it depends on the car. I think the chrome accents look fine on mine, but others I dont like it at all (like on a red rock metallic 1LE I saw recently).

I think the black strip looks good...Probably more so because your car is black. I'm not sure how it would look on other colors. Good idea though!

I think it is very color dependent. On my white RS, I had to look very closely to even see it and didn’t really ever notice it before.

If you are going for a blacked out look though, makes sense to change it to black.

I like the slight bit of chrome. It ties in the chrome strip across the front of the car (on the RS package only) and it also matches the chrome around the Chevy emblem.
Although that black out you did looks good as well.

No, actually like it. Ties in the front strip (RS) and other chrome bits well including my rear chrome plate frame.

I removed the chrome up front because that drove me nuts too.

Nah, I rather like it. I do like these cars are minimalist with the chrome though. I hate cars with big strips across the trunk. Blinds me at times

No, I actually like the little chrome strip. It adds a little bit of accent to an otherwise plain looking backend.
