It is official - GM accepted Summit White order - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

With all due respects to this thread ... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26380, I made the FINAL CHANGE to my order (originally placed 10/16/08) today. The GM system accepted the order at 1100 (yes, it has always been at 1100; but the key is the accepted change). Will be pulled into the system either this Thursday or next, depending on allocation availability and go to 3000 on the following Tuesday/Wednesday.

Color Code GAZ - Summit White is live in the OrderWorkbench. Actual production is dependent on the end of the 2009 model year Impala run and the paint switchover at Oshawa.

I'm expecting delivery between 8/15 and Labor Day. ...and yes, I can be patient.

For further conversation, I changed to the 2-tone black/gray leather interior and will be getting an aftermarket stripe package from ridergraphix.com. The package I've picked is their hockey stripes (they look/fit better than the factory - no gap at the seam between the fender and front clip), the hood spears and the rear panel blackout...all in as close to the 1968 Trans-Am blue as I can match. Other additions will be the kick plates and front/rear chrome bowties from DefenderWorx.com, the heritage grill from GMPerformanceParts and a set of wheel locks. The blade spoiler might be added if and when someone will give an "available" date.

Lastly, my dealer had an allocation of 6. They've received and delivered 1. Have faith as all R6P cars will be complete by 9/30/09...if we can still believe GM...and I have no reason not to.

White was actually my first choice.... But I'm glad I switched to CGM.... I simply fell in love with that color. I'm sure you're going to love it!!!

And Congrats on being one of the first to order in white. I can't wait to see it on a production car!!!

at last about time!!!! why gm is always late and slow?? when others lunch cars you can get them in all colors so that way you get your cookie right away not getting deceived and thing about plan B when at the dealership..

They are not slow with introducing white. They are doing exactly what they told us in the fall they would be doing.

I knew this was a hold item all along. It just took me a while to realize that this was the color I wanted and felt most comfortable with. Started with ABM, changed to RJT and then to IBM. Put on hold (priority 99) in March until SW became available.

Now...the patience clock begins.
