No. You order it from them, but then have to go through the state to have it approved and attached to your car. The site is approved already through the state department of motor vehicles though.

Mine's like $30 extra a month for an American Legion plate with random letters. Going off the site, the expensive ones are like $60 extra a year on top of the registration itself.

You can get the black plates with random numbers for a much lower price (60). but if you want to pick what is on the plate, more money. During certain times of the year (2-3 weeks at a time) you can get up to 7 letters/numbers of your choice. The 7 letter plates are $395 yearly, my 6 letter is $195 plus around 70 for registrations yearly.

I have had mine since January, even switched them from one SS to another when I traded. Usually in Texas the plates must stay with the car.

Good grief expensive... We have like 40 specialty plates to choose from and you can get whatever you want on them, 7 letters, for $60 a year.

A year? It's not a one time fee?

Love the black Texas plates though, hate all versions of IL plates.

I just got the black plate with big star in left and random letter/number. $195 for five years, on top of the regular annual registration costs. Those things are very, very spendy if you go one year at a time.

California is all about location. That same house can be like 300k in a different part of california. Beach houses are extremely expensive. A million dollars for like a 2 bedroom house that is like 1200 square feet.
