Can you have the subwoofer amp and msd 2351 installed at the same time or is it something that you can have or the other? What if the msd 2351 doesnt want to connect to the laptop? All the software is up to date. It keeps searching and can't find the msd on msd review

I can't help you with the subwoofer issue as I have no experience with that issue. The MSD software does not work with windows 7, 8. Hope you got access to a lap top with XP or you're SOL.

So i read through some forums and saw that the msd can be charged thru the usb. So i decided to use my home computer at about 12 hours after trying to use my laptop. Downloaded the softwared on my desktop and the msd connected right up. Put all the settings to default until my tuner can set his settings. Spoke with MSD, who are rude as hell. Was told that a subwoofer amplifier and the msd boost a pump can be ran at the same time but the battery must have enought volts to push it during startup... So pretty much i got it to work, thanks for all the help. Disconnecting the subwoofer amp did get it going.

Changed nothing. Three amps running to battery pos and neg. I also have threes battery and a 275 amp alternator. But I started with just the car battery and had no problem starting the car. Added extra battery's later.

Mine came pre programmed from JRE. Hooked it up with his directions and all was good.

It is probably one of our units as we program them before they leave the shop and we mark them.

If so it has a good file in it that works well.

Works with Win7 on my laptop. Maybe you have some safety controls on your Win7 locking it out. Or a driver issue?

I am referring to the logging software. I have not tried my windows 7 lap top for at least a couple years because I also have a windows XP lap top I use if I want to log the MSD voltage input and output while running the vehicle. If you have recently logged the MSD graphs with a windows 7 system, it appears MSD finally provided the necessary drivers.

It was actually your reply to another member on here that gave me that idea to hook it up to my desktop computer inside the house. I have windows 8.1 on my laptop and no matter what i did to upgrade the drivers and such, it would not connect. Once i did it inside, it immediately connected

If the light on the msd 2351 stays blinking will it eventually go off or will it stay blinking the whole time no matter what. Iv been having problems with my car battery dying and wanted to know if this could be the cause. Also, does the negative wire have to go directly on the battery or can it be placed some where on the vehicle like a regular ground?
