Guy in an Impala SS wanted to race...

I woke up really early today for some reason (3:00am) so I decided to take a drive into the mountains to Snohomish. I was on a curvy road that had a speed limit of 45. I see some headlights behind me and as I approach a long straightaway where the speed limit increases to 55, the guy passes me revving his engine. I accelerate to 55 while he tries to goad me into racing, then continues his pass. He keeps revving his engine and blows by me accelerating to about 80 or 90.

Shortly thereafter my radar detector goes off and a highway patrol SUV goes blowing by me after the guy.

While my story isn't that exciting i did have a guy in a minivan pull up next to me and want to race yesterday.....pretty sure he was kidding.

I used to live out your way. Those mountain roads are awesome for driving.

Good call. Yesterday I had to use every bit of restraint to keep from racing two teenagers in a Mustang GT.

These two guys (late teens to early 20s) revved at me several times in a Mustang GT (05-09 ish model). It had aftermarket wheels, loud exhaust, etc.

I can't tell you how much I wanted to race these guys, but I just turned up the tunes and relaxed and let them go on their way.

I still have about 3 weeks before my 2011 Camaro SS comes in but I already have training in the art of restraint on red light racing... Every time I'm out in the Corvette someone pulls up and tries to get me to run..It always seems to be cars like Trucks.. Honda cars, VW bugs..LOL I don't understand it but me and wife just laugh and take it easy

The great thing about Impala's is if you're low on fuel, you can hoist the main sail to get home.

Coming back from Disneyland 2 days ago some redneck in a Chevy pickup pulls alongside me on a crowded rush-hour, bumper-to-bumper freeway and guns his engine wanting me to race him and his loud pipes. Clearly his brain cell count matched the number of teeth in his head. You'd have to be seriously retarded to race under those conditions--not to mention racing on the streets under any circumstance.

VERY COOL.

I wish that would happen to me, I get FOOLS allover doing that, then fly

by me like a bat out of hell. Even beaters who think they can beat me,

and I believe some think they actually beat me. I take off at a medium

pace and ignore them or just laugh, but since my car has an axelback, an

intake and a MANUAL it sounds like I am reving it more then I am.

So many FOOLISH people out there.
