I currently own a 2014 v6, like the older v6 ones it just has a normal hood cowl with no vents or slots. while the v8 looks like the zl1, it took the hood from a zl1 and put it on the SS models.

A lot of smart ass comments in this thread... I don't understand why people do that, it really does reflect poorly on them...

Compensating for for something because most ppl with a V6 can buy a SS! Or payed more for their V6 , than most have payed for their V8! SS 76 HP over the V6 , ZL1 is a different story! like a 7 foot basketball player that can't make it in the NBA! big for nothing!

When I bought my wife's Camaro we considered the SS automatic as she didn't want to drive a standard as her daily user. Of course the killer for us on the L99 is the watered down AFM feature on the automatics. I didn't buy a 2012 Silverado 5.3 for that very reason and instead bought the L9H 6.2L engine option which through 2013 was non-AFM. The skip shift feature on the manuals is a better trade off ,but who wants to have to bypass features on a new car to drive it like you want and risk the loss of drivetrain warranty on a new car if something was to fail.? The V-6 was the best choice for us at this time. If we upgrade in the future and stay in a Camaro , the next one will be a ZL1.Maybe a lightly used one that someone else paid up front for the lack of nanny features.

Or how about 103HP comparing M6 vs M6 Also 3.27 vs 3.45 gears 278 ft-lbs vs 420 ft-lbs ----> Every V6 vs V8 argument seems to overlook this I could go on but being a former V6 owner and actually liking my previous car I don't want to shit on the car, just making sure the quoted poster understands it's more then "76 hp" blah blah blah
