Drilled rotor upgrade for the Brembos?
Just looking to replace the rotors for a drilled/slotted version without spending to much cash, want to keep the same callipers and wanted to know if Brembo has something for this?
I've seen the Big Brake upgrade kit and there is NO way im spending that much money. Wonder if those discs would work? |

I just bought the HAwk Street Performance Ceramic Pads and I am also looking for some reasonable rotors, mostly for looks. The prices I have seen is more than I want. 10% of the car value on rotors when I am not racing it makes no sense for me.

there's no point what so ever to spend 1k on the rotors unless you are racing every weekend.

Especially since the car already stops in 103 feet from 60. They will never heat up that much under normal driving to require slots or drilled holes. They just look cool.

The Racing Brake upgrades are more than just for looks. You don't have to get all 4 either, you can just get the fronts. Not only will they improve braking and cooling, they will improve your car's acceleration because they reduce unsprung weight by about 5 lbs per rotor. Reducing unsprung weight by 5 lbs on all 4 wheels has the effect of removing 100 lbs of sprung weight. How much actual difference is that? It's like doing the quarter mile with a 1/4 tank of gas instead of a full tank. Except this works all the time.

Those Brembos look like a pretty good option for folks looking for a minor upgrade. I know there is also some Powerslot in the works. I am doing my best to get my hands on some so we can get them out to you folks and on the roads.
