Awful dealership logo sticker...help

I just bought a pre-owned 2010 Camaro and to my dismay when I picked up my car yesterday there was a massive dealership logo on the rear bumper My friend who was accompanying me said that it would be insulting if I asked them to remove it. Can anyone tell me a quick easy way to remove it WITHOUT damaging my new car????

If it's a sticker, try heating it up slightly with a hair dryer and peel with your fingernails. It should come off fairly easily. Polish and wax after it's off.

Depends on how it's attached. If it's a decal, just peel. If it's an adhesive plaque, soften the glue a bit with hair dryer and/or heat gun. Be gentle with heat so you don't damage the bumper. If it's riveted on, or attached with pegs through the bumper, demand body shop repair for the holes in the bumper.

I don't thinkit is insulting. I told them not to put one on my car. I see it as they did not ask your permission to put it on your car and you do not want to advertise for them for free.

Heat Gun or Hair Dryer and some fishing line will take care of the decal. Then use goo gone to get rid of the residue.

NOT INSULTING!! What is insulting is the fact that they put free advertising on the back of YOUR car! Make THEM take it off and if they damage the paint, THEY fix it.

I feel dealerships should either give the common courtesy to ask if they may put it on YOUR car or just do what most do these days, use a plate bracket.

Insulted? Haha. My car is insulted by your tacky dealership tramp stamp on its ass, remove it!

Seriously, most dealerships dont mind, and if they do, they can stuff it. You just paid $30K for a car, they can accommodate you a bit

Thanks all! I'm gonna try the hair dryer thing first. Unfortunately the dealership is 300+ miles away. I HAD to have a Summit White 2LT/RS...closest one I could find.

I agree...I should be "insulted" by the fact that I have to figure out how to remove this thing!

Take the car back to the dealer and tell them to either pay you to advertise for them or they take it off. If the paint is damaged tell them it better be perfect. When I bought my last car the dealer put a sticker on it. They fought but they took it off.

IF IT IS A PLASTIC PLAQUE then you will want to remove it by running fishing line or string behind it to saw off the foam double sided sticky tape then use goof off to get the remaining stuff. if it is a sticker just peel it and use your fingernails to remove it and also goof off or goo gone to remove any residue

There are several glue removing products available at the hardware store that won't hurt your paint. Soak the sticker thoroughly and it should come right off. I would not use a razor blade, it is too easy to dig into the paint. Did they mount your front plate also?
