After 25 Years I Finally Get My Camaro

When I was 16 I saved 2 grand, which my old man matched. The first car i looked at and the one that stole my heart was '67 Gray Camaro RS with a 327. It was clean and ran very well. The guy had it listed for $3750, which I was ready to jump on immediately. Unfortunately, my Dad talked me in to going to see a gold '68 Cutlass convertible. I looked for about 15 minutes and said that I wanted to go back and get the Camaro. As you may have guessed, by the time we got back that sweet machine had been sold. Well, yesterday I got a chance to relive my youth and this time I was getting the bad a$$ ride I wanted! The coolest part of the day was seeing my 15 year old son's perma-grin when we hit the first highway on ramp and the dual mode exhaust kicked in. God Bless the american V8!!

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

She is a beauty - congrats. I still remember the Camaro that got away from me over 30 years ago. They haunt... don't they?

Growing up my dad had all kinds of cars, mostly street rods and the occasional Chevelle. I begged and pleaded with him for years to get a 67 or 68 Camaro, and finally when I was 16, he did. He let me drive it to school every now and then and sold it after I moved away to college. I miss that car.

Welcome, and congrats on the new muscle!
