Same ol SC question.

I'm sure it's been asked to death but here it goes. I've been trying to educate myself on superchargers and there seems to be a lot more to it then just bolt on and go. I know very little to start off with and reading each claim's say they do it best, Kenne Bell, Magna, Vorte etc.
That being said...I have a 6spd SS with headers, high flows, full exhaust, vararam and tune. I'm not looking for max HP I actually want to drive this thing on a daily basis with minimal hassle. The car will never see the track it'll be only street driven so reliability is a must! I want to be able to hit the on-ramp and feel that pull (as I reach the legal speed limit). So I'm asking those with first hand knowledge, which is the way to go for the street??
Reliability, everyday usability and max bang fir the buck.

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked to death. Just a lot of $$ and want to feel comfortable.

I love my whipple for a street car. It pulls hard when you step on it and drives like stock when cruising around. You are gonna get all kind of feed back from others but for what you are going for I say pick the one you like the best and go for it.

TVS2300 all the way based on your requirements. Got one on my otherwise bone stock manual. It has better manners than stock because of the added low end grunt. Idles smooth as silk and only makes noise when you get in it.

Top mount blower for sure with your goals. I love my whipple, but all of them are good really. Don't get hung up on the IAT debate that will soon follow.....for your use it won't be an issue. Contact one of the forum sponsors and take the best deal you can get. Whipple, Eforce, TVS it really doesn't matter, if your never going to track the car or go further with the build, they will all acomplish what you want.

My whipple has been trouble free also. I really don't think the OP can go wrong with any of the top mounts out there for his goals.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm leaning towards a magnacharger!

I recommend the Maggie based on the number of friends that have tens of thousands of miles on their cars with no issues. I run twin turbos and push the hell out of em.... but that's not what you're looking for based on the post..

Do you have an installer in mind... My builders shop is one I would like to throw into the mix if you're still considering...

PM me for details...

Does the recommendation change much for an occasional road race car?

I still think a top mount makes more sense for road racing.

ECS SC FTMFW!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, I love the Centri-Blowers. It drives like a Daily Driver under normal conditions and is not in "boost". You slam the pedal and you get planted to the back, and enjoy the ride . The ECS of all the options has the best setup in my opinion. It allows you to go bigger (2200 fits the same brackets) down the road, swap pulley's and puts up some very impressive #s compared to its competitors.

See this thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210592

And then if you are interested let me know, just shoot me a PM or Matt @ FSP.

You will not be sorry
