Question Foglight question

Since I was doing an SS bumper conversion on my LS, I ordered the LS foglight conversion kit from gen5diy. When I went to install them today, the assembly wasn't long enough to reach to the back of the housing on the bumper, so I couldn't snap them in. Are SS foglights and V6 foglights different? That's the only reason why I can think they don't fit. I'll attach some pictures, any answer is appreciated!

Well maybe I have the wrong bulbs, because they don't reach!

Are there screws on the connectors that can be adjusted?

There's one screw on the largest connector, but that's it and it does no adjusting. thanks for the reply!

Angry BUMP

I think I figured out the problem... I decided to type in the part number on the back of the light (WJ30-0207-09) and figured out theyre OEM foglights for a 2007 Chevy suburban... What gives? I thought gen5diy was a reputable place, and I'm a little pissed because of the trouble theyre putting me through. Hopefully ill hear from them tomorrow

That's what mine are 07-11 Tahoe, they are the same part just a lot cheaper then buying the ones that are "for the camaro". weird that they dont fit :/

Is it caught up on the bezel? In the pic you look like youre holding in front of bezel..maybe install foglight first then put in bezels? Im just throwing ideas out cause i dont have the fogs but all installs i see the bezel goes on top of foglight?

I made this stupid mistake of thinking the bezel went in first, and then the fog light
Anyways, my new problem is that I can't get the connectors on the back of the lamp to fit through the bumper holes. They seem like they're too big, and I'm afraid of breaking them. The connectors I'm referring to are the whtte ones in the picture below

That i cant really help with...maybe heat up the bumper side to soften the holes a little...just dont over heat it or it may deform it...

Thumbs up Conclusion

Here are 2 new bits of information I couldn't find anywhere on the forum, so I figure maybe one day some idiot like me will come across them and be helped out!
  • Fog lights go in BEFORE the bezels
  • Heat up the holes on the bumper so they're expandable before putting the fog lights in.
Thank you everybody for the help, and Happy New year!

I was wondering why the first picture of the fog light seen from the front seemed to have the bezel in place ... but figured you were just showing it for illustrative purposes of the fog light lense size.
