Gauging Interest in the TL1 Hood Insert..but....
Really thinking about installing one of the TL1 hood inserts in my SS. I'm not wanting to make a ZL1 clone or anything...but love the look of the inserts when done right. I'm painting my stock bumper and adding a 1LE Splitter and 1LE Rocker Covers.
I think the car would look awesome if I removed the hood stripes and went with the TL1 Hood Insert and painted it Cyber Grey Metallic (that's the color of the stripes). BUT....I installed a SLP TVS2300 last year. I did a search and it looks like it should clear the TL1 Hood Insert. Will the water drain work with such a big blower on top of the engine? I don't plan on driving the car in the rain...but if I would happen to get caught it in....I'd want everything to be safe and free of water. Any info would be great. Thanks!

Get it! Maybe you can replace your stripes with a single hood stripe, like the big, solid color one.

Just want to make sure everything will fit okay with the blower before I pull the trigger...

I have the ACS Composite TL1 insert and I think that there is no clearing problem, As for the water management ACS provides a plate that takes less space than the OEM one.
Also ACS is soon to come out with a TL1 Liner with an open window like their SS9 one.

Any tips on the install? Looks really nice, high quality! As long as I know for sure everything works with the supercharger, I'll pull the trigger

ACS supplies all the gabarit for the cutting. A good body man is recommanded as for high quality cutters will do a better job. But it's very easy for the rest.

I'm a body guy, doesn't really look like that big of deal. I was going to use a diegrinder to cut out the portion of the hood, sand down the edges so the edges are smooth, and paint the edges. I'll send ACS a message to ask them about the fitment with the blower
