I meant yes, you are already covered. If you don't plan to keep it past 3 years and won't go over 36k miles in that time, then cancel it.

Extended warranties through other companies are usually much, much cheaper. GM Protection Plans are some of the most expensive IMO. I looked into one when I bought a used 2000 Z28 about 7 years ago. The car had 50k miles and GMPP wanted something like $1300 to warranty the car out to 80k or something stupid. I ran it through a different writer and they wanted like $800 for the same length/coverages. I decided to to buy one and soak up potential fixes. The car was fine...no issues. |

If your going to get a extended warranty go with GM. I own a used car lot and sell extended warrantys and I get them cheap and remember YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.. Get the GM one trust me

Did you also know that some insurance companies carry a maintenance warranty equal to the extended warranty offered by GM only difference is the deductible will have to be met first. I know Geico does this for NEW cars only.

Yep, the GM powertrain warranty is 5yr/100K. However, there are tons of expensive items not covered by it that an extended warranty does cover.
I like to wait for the standard B2B to end (after 3 years) and then buy the 5-yr extended warranty. I plan to keep my car at least 8 years, but if I don't I cal always sell back the unused portion.
