You will take a loss. People tend to fudge the numbers on a public forum, so keep that in mind when looking at those “trade up” posts.
Why do you want to trade so soon? It’s really to you. If it’s worth the extra cash in your mind, then go for it.

I'm doing this, but I'm trading up from a 2011 1LT/RS to a 2013 2SS/RS 1LE, and of course I will be losing at minimum $5K on my 2011 even though it's paid off doesn't really matter, so it's up to you, unless your trading up and making a big upgrade, I'd say don't do it.

yes you will take a loss. Its up to you to determine if its worth it. Lots on here, myself included, have taken the loss and upgraded from a v6 to a v8. I traded a '11 1LT for a '11 1SS/RS. The loss was worth it, IMO.

I took a massive loss trading in my 2LT. All of the initial down payment (which was significant) and of course the interest payments over a year were lost. The car just about covered the remaining part of the loan. But I have no regrets!
