USB port not working...
When I plug in my USB cable to my iPod, it wont read the iPod. I tried to wiggle it once and it picked it up, but then when I let go, it lost it. I have been using it for 6 months or so and this happens. Any suggestions?

I'd try a different cable, or different ipod. Try the cable & ipod on your computer and see if it works. If it turns out to be your car's usb port, it should be covered under the warrantee.

Sometimes when I start up my car it won't recognize the USB port or the Aux. port. If it doesn't recognize your aux. port also, it's most likely the car.

Every once in a while mine does that - I have no idea why. I usually unplug/plug it back in and turn the Ipod off and on. So far, that has always made it work.

the software can be fickle, but once you learn it's behavior (intended and not) you should be fine.
this sounds like a shorted ipod cable, happens quite frequently. your ipod is probably fine unless you pull and put pressure on the cable while plugged in. |

Happens all the time with the iPod touch and the iPhone. Unplugging it and plugging it back once or twice should be enough to "fix" it. If not, then it's probably the cable. Even if it is the cable, if you have either of the above products it will probably happen on occasion.

mikester0612, if these suggestion do not do the trick for you then I would suggest that you let your dealership take a look at as there might possibly be an issue with the vehicle. Hopefully this is not the case and you are able to get this feature running again yourself. I hope all of the suggestions given do a good bit of help towards resolving your issue. If the issue continues feel free to contact me.

Software update
Hey guys,
I was having trouble playing me 3rd generation Iphone, and ipod touch in the camaro. I took it to the dealer and they told me their was a software update for the USB. After the software update my Iphone and Ipod touch worked flawlessly. This could be the problem. |

I have just tarted having this problem as well. I have tried two different ipods (one a "classic" and the other is a new mini touch) both with two different connector cords. Plugging them in and unplugging them repeatedly does nothing, nor does shutting the car off and turning it back on. I'll be getting in contact with my dealer shortly about it, but in the mean time was hoping there was something that anybody else here knows that can be done about it or if there is a fix/TSB in the works for this problem??

They might have, but i am not sure. Just make sure you have the latest version update on your ipod, or iphone and take your car to the dealer. Tell them the problem you are having, and they will peform a usb update, which should fix the problem. All of this is under warranty. |

I have issues with it recognizing my Droid X as well... sometimes it.does, sometimes it.doesn't. Real pain in the ass... was thinking about buying a USB drive dedicated soley to.music and leaving it in there.
