It's not the wheel it's the 26" tire, unfortunately they don't make a taller radial front, only a 28" bias ply. But as good as these look I think I will be driving them quite a bit so bias ply tires are out of the question.

26" front and 28" rear?
Did you figure out how to get around the height issue?

Yeah, just drive it.

These are my track wheels and will see minimal street driving, so I'm not worried about all the traction control and stabilitrac lights going off.

Also, these rear tires are a lot bigger than I would ever run so I'm gonna try and put them up for sale or trade. I'll probably try to find some 26" or 27" drag radials.

To be honest, those rear tires are what makes the car look bad axx (and will hook great). A 26" rear tire would completly change the way the car looks.

I don't know if you have read any of my posts about rear tire sizes, but I am against running giant rear tires to try to hook. Our cars are wayyy too heavy and wayyy too under geared for 28" tall super wide tires.

I would maybe keep them if my car was 3,300 lbs instead of 4,300 lbs, had 4.56 gears instead of 3.45 gears and 526 rwhp instead of 426 rwhp.

But I do admit they look really cool.

Smaller tires will improve gearing and help.
But guys like Padre do great with 28" drag radials. He consistantly pulled 1.6x sec 60' times (bolt ons) and 1.60 (cam only) and 1.53 (forced induction).

I was pulling 1.73 sec 60' with 28" drag radials my last trip to the track. My biggest issue was getting 20" NT555Rs to hook (too much spin).

I expect to pull 1.6x sec 60' with 305/45/18 drag radials as soon as I get them.

Looks good, though I'm a fan of staying with a 27" or taller tire front and back.

You guys are autos and have a 4.03 first gear, even with your 3.27 rear gear us M6 guys would have to run a 22" rear tire (tire, not wheel) just to match your gearing with a 28" tire.

That's not taking into account the awesome torque multiplication of a stall converter. Auto cars are a whole different world, I guess I should have mentioned I was talking about M6 cars.

Autos are stupid easy to get out of the hole but stick cars are much more fun. My last car was a 98 SS M6, swapped to an A3, then back to an M6. It was my daily driver with only bolt ons, I got it to consistently 60 foot in the 1.4s with the M6 and there is no other feeling like driving an stick car out of the hole.
