NPP exhaust fuse

I pulled the fuse within a week of having the car. A couple of months later I installed Kooks LT headers and mid pipes. I've been driving around for 5 months or so with the exhaust wide open and I love the sound of it.

Since I work nights I decided to put the fuse back in last night when I left work to show a little consideration and not wake my neighbors up every night when I come home at midnight. I was completely dissatisfied with how my car sounded, and felt, on the ride home. I actually found myself driving faster because the noise of the exhaust, with the fuse pulled, gives me that visceral response that makes me happy without speeding, but with it quiet it just didn't cut it. There's just something about that rumble that just gets me off. I can't explain it in words. I just kind of lost the permagrin for 1/2 an hour last night.

So as soon as i got home I pulled the fuse again.

Bottom line: F the neighbors!!

if you put in a 12v remote controlled relay(ebay or amazon can't remember)you can program it to your buttons at top of windshield.Ithink they are called homelink.very easy to install.pull fuse #8.hook up red wire to one side of fuse.hook up white wire to other side of fuse socket.hook up black wire(s) to ground.stretch out blue wire, and program to home link buttons.one for flapper open and one for closed.now you can control exhaust sound from inside car.I put it on wife's 2013 npp and it works great.when you buy the relay + - $16 it comes with two remote control fobs.follow procedure in owners manual for programming garage door opener.there is a thread on the entire procedure somewhere on this forum.just do the research.

npp is effectively all your gasses coming out of the one small tip. a small bit of residual splits off but mostly out one.

I know where the gas comes out, but it is loud enough to set off car alarms if I'm not gentle coming home at night. The kid across the street from covers her ears from when I start my car until I'm 1/2 a block down the street.

An NPP with headers is definitely loud. It isn't the loudest, but it is loud.

OP, get a Mild 2 Wild switch so you can cruise around your neighborhood with some restrain and then just push a button and open the flaps in the NPP.

I thought about getting a M2W, but then realized most people go to work before I leave so it doesn't really matter.

That damn little fuse almost ruins 900 premium we paid for the NNP exhaust. The fuse pull for it is the best mod i've done to my car and it's free.

I love the gargle while decelerating. It makes my day.

(my wife and I always joke around about the South Park when all the Harley guys drive through town..... rubble rubble rubble rubble)

Gosh i love these cars.
