Aftermarket ballast back to OEM - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys..my ballast recently went out on my driver side...I tested 2 other hid lights, both didn't work...I was working crazy hours the only way I wanted not to get pulled over was to go to a shop and get an aftermarket ballast to compensate. I ordered the OEM one because the aftermarket one blows, now that I have the OEM ballast and the D1S headlight I'm ready to install
-do I have to remove the bomber to replace the ballast?
- is it even possible to go back to OEM after a crappy after, aftermarket ballast?

I have the RS package if that helps.
