Air tools definitely would have helped. It's really a straightforward project, minus the fact that you have to be a contortionist to get to some of the bolts. Luckily Nate was there to help get to some of the tough ones... and to offer some tips on how his project went.

I think $700 to install is WAY too high. It's a bitch of a project, but $700 is twice the cost of the headers, practically. It wouldn't even be worth it to pay a shop to do it, IMO.

I had a great time and learned a lot! I've never come close to doing such an extensive mod on any car I've owned, so it was a good time.

Thanks for the info on the headers - I will keep that in mind if any of our V6'rs over here pursue them again I agree the more money you can save by doing things yourself, the more mods you can buy!

Cool time lapse video - maybe you can use the security footage to help figure out what happened to that missing header bolt!

didn't have a small wrench that went to 18ft-lbs & they're all tightened good...I think I checked 2 when I did mine to get a feel for the torque, then did the rest by hand...most of the bolts you can barely get a wrench on, let alone a torque wrench

I know my buddy Kevin has a torque wrench, so I'll check the accessible ones. Nate tightened the crap out them though, and I've checked on them today and they're as snug as a bug!

Sick video-- love the first song. Didn't know that camera was there either. LOL!

Spy camera to see who was a donut eater and who was working!

I'll have to go through each pic when I get a chance to see if there are any particular shots worth posting on their own. I'll look for the missing bolt (close eye on Drew)!

You gotta watch me. I am shaddy like that. I take random things from people and put it under my mattress. Hell I was trying to cabbage parts from your car too, but the gig was up and everyone was onto me.

I was summonsed by the great Rachel when I went missing from the Jim project. That's how I became implicated in the missing header bolt mystery.
