This makes you think twice about valet parking.
Never ever will I let valet park my car. Never have in the past either.

A couple summers ago at Newport on the Levee I saw a valet jump in a car and floor it right out into traffic. Nearly got hit by a huge truck. That pretty much confirmed it for me... valet = no way!!

Max and Erma's has epic chocolate chip cookies.

I'm mad jealous of those going to Edgewater tomorrow. I wanna go, but I just moved to second at the hospital and I can't ask off this week. I need to get down there and run now that I have my headers.

This is pretty much NOT true. We go to Max and Ermas at Christmas because it's shitty out, it's a good location and they can always accommodate a lot of people.

I will agree this isn't a popular event because it's far for most, it's a week night and no, most people don't drag race their cars. I for one would rather watch paint dry than spend all day to run 1/4 mile a couple times. I'd go to watch and hang out but otherwise, eh... not my thing.

Just sent... don't want to offend anyone.

I am definitely interested but the rain on Saturday has caused a conflict on Thursday. I would love to show up as a group, but it just doesn't work out for me this week. I definitely plan to show up but it may be around 8:30.

I almost take offense to this. I love drag racing and try to get to the track every chance I can get. But I'll admit that drag racing is like a niche market. Not a lot of people get into it; it's not just the people here but also with society as a whole. And with the way everything is going it's sure to get worse. Whether you want to believe it or not; our hobby/pastime is on the way out.

Of course Thursday Night Lights seems more of a party atmosphere. I've never been to Edgewater for this event. So far I've only been to testntune on friday's. And you know what, there's never been another C5 present when I've been there. Although I have heard tale of some showing up on the last day o fracing last year and hitting the wall.

Very classy... you call out an entire thread of people (inaccurately for the most part) and then get shitty when they say they take offense to your comments? Your service to our country is much appreciated and respected... but other than that you come off as an asshole.

Actually what I saw at Mod day was a big group of Camaro lovers spending their entire day helping other people mod their cars. That is a pretty big act of selflessness right there.

Believe it or not - even here in Indy (Racing Capitol Of The World lol) very few of us take our cars to the track. We take scenic cruises, go to shows, or we just hang out and enjoy each others company. Most of us just don't feel the need to run the car down the 1/4 mile repeatedly (I know of only 1 person here that regularly does). We know what they are capable of and that is good enough for most of us (without the extra wear and tear). If that is what someone else wants to do, hey that's .

I have coordinated several events with our group over here, and it can get frustrating. It is tough to find a date and event that works for the majority of the people, and even then sometimes only 1/2 of them show up. Can't take it personally, just enjoy the company of those that do attend

Well, I gotta say, I never expected there to be so many people at Thursday Night Lights. Good thing I decided not to race tonight, I never would have figured out what was going on-plus I got stuck in the mud as soon as I parked

I guess that's the disadvantage of sitting low with high hoodline-you can't see a big mudhole at night when you turn to park
