Same here... Also looking into an interface to tie into the HUD made by Dashtronix.

Does anybody have any experience with this kit? was wondering how well it works.

Do you have just the jammer? I think the best one now is Blinder M47. It beats the escort adn BEL systems.

9500ci for the unlimited budget. 8500ci otherwise. Or if you want the same thing as the 8500ci for a lot less get a Qi45. It's the same as the 8500ci bit does not have GPS.

in testing at radartest.com, BEL Sti-R Plus beats the Escort 9500ci slighthly (you can select the Ka band) . The major difference is that BEL is 500 cheaper... I just can't find someone to sell and install the BEL in cleveland yet...

9500ci is the way to go imo. I have one now on my current car and will have a 9500ci installed on my ZL1 next week.

I agree. Simply the best of the best. We don't have laws in Illinois that prevent us from having a detector in the car or on the dash so I have never considered an built in unit.

Lots of other reasons to go with a built in detector. Theft, not advertising it to the police, integration with shifters, aesthetics, performance, etc...

Not to mention if you do get tagged and the cop sees the detector on your windshield, they often decide to give you a ticket even if they were thinking of a warning...or so Ive heard form several Leo's on here....
