But as far as what you said above....I disagree. There is almost no point in doing shorty headers and then doing cats later aside from a slight difference in sound (the shorty headers will be more calm than LT headers, but still a nice difference over stock headers)

There are some guys that have installed shorty headers, and then maybe decided after the fact that they either wanted more power, more sound, or both and then isntalled HF cats...but in your case you are planning ahead. If you want both, then I recommend just doing LT headers.
Well the main reason that I wanted to do shorties is that they don't require tuning from what I've seen. Granted, eventually I want to do the trifecta tune and get the ghost cam as well. The problem is I'm still in highschool and do not have a constant income. With that being said, I don't want to worry about not being able to drive my car until I get it tuned and all of that.

Shorties is a rather point less upgrade is mostly meant for sound. The Injen will do the same and it will give you a better throttle response

I know that some shorties do need the tune to disable a CEL, however I have yet to hear of a CAI that does. Just saying....

Thanks again for your continuous replies.

So it was a very noticeable difference when you put in the Injen?

Oh yea like I said sound and better throttle response because of better airflow

Gotcha. How difficult is the install? I know it doesn't seem to be as easy as standard intakes, since it is long tube. Did you have to relocate anything?

Its easy just a couple bolts but compared to a short ram It require more effort coz the tube goes all the way down requiring you to replace the windshield washer bottle and taking your driver side wheel out so you can reach and have more space.

I've seen some people talk about a washer bottle relocation kit... Is that necessary or is it just needed to take it out and then reinstall after you install the intake? If it is necessary to get the kit, does that come with the intake or is it a deprecate thing altogether?

The Injen long tube intake system comes with the W/W relocation tank included.
