im surprised to find to many retards on these boards....we are all car enthusiasts at the base?am i right? Some people take a good debate way too seriously...like we are talking about a country versus another in a time of war with religion etc....defendeing our lifestyle:flag1:
This is a car...and for the engien dyno pulls to be aqual (considering tire diameter final drive and primary transmission gears ratio) a 3.73 mustang you must have a 4.75 rear end in your camaro ss to see the torque advantage.....with a 3.31 stang youll need 4.33 gears (not that those gears exist but its and example of a competent car let down by details) Judging by the response i would say theres a lot of italian guys (or girls) debating this topic...its very passionate |

Both the Camaro and Mustang are bad ass, all you have to do as a consumer/enthusiast is pick your flavor. Camaro is grape Kool aid and Mustang is liver.

Dyno doesn't take into consideration the fact that the looks of the Camaro blow the Mustang away.

Double overhead cam engines have been around since at least 1919. The pushrod engine since around 1903. I would say the only thing modern about either one is the computer controlling them (for good or bad), and the metal alloys they are made out of. They have both been the subject of continuous improvments for about 100 years. |

I would expect Ford is going to have to come out with a new design in the next couple years because their current design has basically been out since 2005. Personally I'm not married to any one brand. All Mfgs make some good cars and some crap cars. If the Camaro didn't come out when it did I would probably be driving a GT 500. Here are a couple pics of a GT that got bought before I got serious about a new car. I still love the looks of this car and though I wouldn't trade my Camaro for it, it was a close second to my Camaro.

But in a Camaro forum, I'm sure you're in the minority (as in the general public going by the lastest sales figures). |
