68 Camaro max rim width
Looking for a set of rims for my 68 Camaro. I want to go 17"x10" wide in the rear. I see lots of 8" wide rims in back and 7" in front. Can it be done without a mini tub?

17x9 rim with 5 1/2 of back space is about all you can get under a stock 1st Gen rear end. If you want 10" wide rim your going to have to do some work or run 15" rim.
Tons of threads on this subject in 1st Gen and pro touring sites http://www.lateral-g.net http://www.camaros.net http://www.pro-touring.com

I think a 4.25 backspace wheel 10" wide should work.

I did a 17X9 with a 5 1/4 backspace and 275-50X15 tires and i got a slight rub on the inside. I fixed it with the thinnest available spacer (3/16") and extra reach lug nuts. I have no rubbing issues on the fender.

Do you have some pics you can send me? I would like to see a pic from the back of the car to see how wide the tire looks and other ones would be cool as well!

If you had that at a regular ride height, it looks like you would rub real bad on the quarterpanel lip, if the tire would even fit under there.
Like sunoco said, get the relocate kit and you will be able to fit your 10" without any problems. some people have managed to fit without even using them, but it's not worth the aggravation

Go to DSE. They are considered the best in many circles, but you will pay for it. You could also look into the kit from Heidts. Theirs isn's a tub kit but they do brag that it will fit 10" wide wheels and it's a total bolt-in kit
