Friend got a 1LE, looks like I need to upgrade
Long story short, my best friend sold his 2012 Charger to lease 2014 1LE (he should have just gotten the right car the first time). As all car-friendships go, I now must upgrade mine to make sure I'm better
I have a 2012 2SS manual, already with a CAI, ported throttle body, and Diablo tune. Looking for some confirmation that the parts I'm looking at picking up will be good choices: Magnaflow exhaust KOOKS 1-7/8 long tube headers Cats Obviously the 1LE has a better stock suspension system, are there any good aftermarket ones I could drop in that would be even better?

It wouldn't be the same even if you bought all the parts on the list, as their transmission is also different. However, having those parts wouldn't hurt you any

Mostly in the straights, though in the turns would be nice too. I'm a little better at shifting than him, so as long as I can match the torque and HP I should be good there. Faster lap times would definitely be an added bonus

What if he drops in a cam?? You gonna supercharge?? LoL..I kid I kid....You should already be faster in the 1/4. The 1LE is a tenth or 2 behind the regular SS because of the gearing according to magazine test..{ take that for what its worth} If you wanna road race you may need to think about gearing to go along with the mods you have listed. You do that and you should be good to go.....Unless your buddy finds Camaro5...then the real fun will start...

The big advantage he will have over you in that department is in gearing. You should look at the 3.91 gear kit to even the odds. It will cost less that the full exhaust and have a huge impact.

BMR makes suspension that's better than 1le, as g.m. parts can be made better aftermarket of course/
