Cammed Camaro vs CTS-V
Very curious about this...lets say we have a Camaro cammed with bolt ons pushing 480 to the rear wheels. Who would win in a race, a stock 2013 CTS-V sedan, or the Camaro. What about the CTS-V Coupe?

I would hope the Camaro wins the v's are mid to low 12's stock and that Camaro should run in the 11's.

Camaro should honestly win and pretty easily. A SS making that to the wheels would beat a ZL1 to

I've beaten more than a few SS's making that and more than that whilst stock. Now I'm not stock so comparison days are over.

I was surprised to look up stock cts-v dyno numbers and see so many of them in the 480 - 500 hp range, stock. If the Camaro really was putting 480 to the wheels...then it would probably have a tiny lbs/hp advantage over the V. But unless one of your bolt-ons is a supercharger...480 whp is a pretty big number.

Im talking if the guy in the Camaro knows how to drive he should win by a decent margin. I mean I've beaten camed SS to, but with similar power to us the SS has a decent advantage

Your going to lose. The V makes loads more torque throughout the rpm range than your cammed LS3.

i figured its torque would be a bit better across the power band but how does the weight difference make a difference if any?

480 is not avg for a cammed ls3, I would say more like 450-460 to be real. My car put down 440 with a very small cam, runs 12.4-12.3s on stock tires with 115-116 traps in summer heat! So a cammed car putting a real 480, my money is on the cammed car cuz it should be trapping 117-118 easy. The stock Zl1s I see run at the track are normally running around the same times I am with auto's. Dont even get me started on the 6 speed guys, its just sad.

They must not have good divers by you than lol. I know a lot of guys with a cam in their ls3 getting 470-485 whp. Running high 11s around 120s. The ZL1 by me mine included are trapping 118-119, but than again idk how your da is
