Anyone NOT get the RS package??
Still trying to figure out what I want...
I know what the RS package includes, but I don't think I've seen any pics yet of cars WITHOUT the RS package. I get the spoiler and headlights and rims, but what's the difference with the tail lights and roof ditch thing? Any other differences?? |

With the RS package, the tail lights are a darker red, and the roof ditch molding is painted to match the body color. Without the RS package, they are flat black strips instead. There are pics floating around of each, and even some comparison pics I believe.

The headlights ....
and there is a Black 1SS on here without the RS package... but because its black, the roof ditch molding already matches. Um can't find it in search but I know its around here somewhere.

The question should be is why aren't you getting the RS package?

I did not get the RS package because I don't like the way the headlights look. The roof molding does not make a difference to the naked eye. It is really the headlights that make a difference.

Another thing you can do is go to the Chevrolet website and build your own Camaro. What I find helpful is to first select the V6 and pay close attention to the picture. Then change it to the SS V8, again watching the pic while you do it. Go back and forth and you can see the subtle differences between the trim levels. Also, once you have chosen your trim level, do the same thing by adding the RS package and then remove it. Pay close attention to the headlights and wheels for those are the most noticeable differences. You can also rotate the car to see the rear, add/subtract the RS package to see the difference in the tail lights. Granted, it is computer generated, therefore, not 100% accurate to the real thing but will give you an idea of what to expect. I found it helpful. I decided that the differences were not worth the extra $. The halos were the only item I wanted in the RS package but not that much.

I agree with you 100 percent, I don't like the RS package at all.. the regular headlights look great and make the car look that much better!
But everyone has their taste.. i just dont see the wow factor with the RS package makes the car looked "bug" eye |

I do not care for the RS lights either, plus I did not want to deal with changing the tires over every year for winter driving (the RS package has summer only tires.)

I also agree. The more I studied pics, the more I liked the regular head lights. You know what else I did not like about the RS package? As nit-picky as it sounds, the RED badging bothered me. I much prefer the WHITE SS badging.
