Dealer today, at 5pm, check me before I go....
Going to the dealer today at 5pm, he is expecting me...they have an allotment of 3, and holding 1 for me, b/c I was first there this week. I have everything down on paper, and MSRP comes out to: $35,525
After dealer fees, and VA taxes: $36,889.75 Title and tags not included, b/c I don't know what they cost. Any tips you all have to give me, or anything else??? From reading these threads, I know I am supposed to walk out w/ a GM Workbench order detail sheet w/ the code, correct? Please let me know all of this stuff, so I can be prepared Thanks in advance!

Sounds good -- make sure it is a retail sold type order and that you are able to enter in your specific address/phone information that will become part of the order. Have fun -- actually only takes a couple minutes if they do the process right.

Dumb question...how do I know it's a retail sold type order? I had seen a copy of someone's order on this site, and figured I would need something similar....I just want to make sure this deal is for real when I walk out!

the best advice i would give is to remain focused on the process. we're all in love with this car and just can't wait. it's easy to daydream. make sure you order ALL the options you wanted, so you won't be disappointed if something wasn't installed.-- not to mention having to educate your salesperson. they probably don't know half as much you about this car. yet. lots of luck.

I agree...I freaked them out when I showed up Wed. w/ the Camaro workbook. I will make sure all the codes are there....honestly, I just want some basic stuff.... I do have a question though....can I get the option AAY (IOM interior) w/ the W1H package trim as well??? It shows it's available....but then the W1H package states basically you can only get black leather w/ the trim?

The salesperson will need to go into the Quick Order tab of the ordering screen and select "RET Retail" as the distribution entity and "SRE-Sold Order" as the order type.
The Model dropdown will allow you to select LT/1SS/2SS etc. and then there will be three tabs that need filling out -- tab one will be options, tab two will be dealer contact info and tab three will be your contact info. Watch them save the configuration and then they will be able to give you a 6 digit (including numbers and letters) reference number. Once you have that you should be good to go. AND HAVE FUN |

And here I thought CA was the worst... Same tax rate here in O.C. I believe L.A. county is a bit higher at 8.25% sales tax or something to that effect.
