Thoughts about the Brembo caliper paint

I plan on driving my Camaro every day (I know some of you cringe at that, but I don't really want to own 2 cars and I grew up in Cleveland winters driving a 1985 Buick Regal, so RWD doesn't scare me in snow).....

Brake caliper paint is very susceptable to the elements. I was wondering if anyone knows if the paint on them is high temp powder coat. Over time, as it wears off, while you could repaint them black no problem, you will never get the Chevrolet and Brembo print as perfect as it is from the factory.

Any suggestions as to a high temp, clear coat sealant I might be able to spray on as soon as I pick up the car? I certainly want those calipers to look that good for a long time.

I have never had a problem with factory paint or powdercoat. Most of the c5 vett's still look great as does my gto.

The regular C6 brake calipers fade bad. I hope the camaro has a longer lasting finish.

To the OP, VHT-SP-730 is a high temp clear for calipers. I used it on my 4th gen calipers. I've only had them painted for 6 months and I don't daily drive my camaro, much less in bad weather, but so far my calipers look as good as when I first painted them.

The c6 calipers were the same as on the GTO and I had no problems at all.
