Any other LS3 owners have a bad vibration sound at 1500 RPMs
Hi Everyone, I have had my LS3 Camaro for just over a week now and at about 1500 RPMs I have a bad vibration sound coming from what sounds like the exhaust. Has anyone else had this problem? It happens in all gears at 1500 RPMs so about 63 MPH in 6th. Thanks, John

Time to inspect the underbody. Exhaust, tranny and motor mounts and bolts.
If all that looks good then the wheels might also.. well.. let's just say it's hard / impossible to perfectly balance wheels with pressure sensors. |

I wouldn't worry too much but you should get it in to the dealer asap.

If the sound is there in neutral at 1500 get someone to push on the tail pipe with there shoe and see if the noise changes or goes away.

Sympathetic vibration - something is most likely loose...
HOWEVER - I would still go to dealer and have them check. |

agree sounds like a loose heat shield or may be a rubber out of a mounting bracket

My dealer mechanic said it's a baffle inside the muffler that is rubbing against the outer wall. Apparently this needs to be replaced to correct the issue... I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer on this.

I am experiencing the same thing, just a subtle resonance around 1200 - 1400 rpm, notice it more at slow speed. It seems more noticable if I'm going just a little faster, and back down through that RPM range. A similar resonance at 72 - 74 mph on the freeway. My dealer, who is a great guy and has his own SS/RS, drove my car and says his feels the same. It's definitely in the exhaust, but so far the conclusion is that it's "normal." Anyone else? Thanks.
