If you want to get the tune out of the car, or put a different tune into the car, you have to set the car back to stock first. It will take the tune from the car back to the tuner and the stock tune from the tuner back to the car. The tuner is now free. (unmarried) (The SCT custom tune will keep a copy no matter what though)

In my case, I had a custom tune from my SCT tuner loaded in my car. So my tuner was 'Married' to my car becasue the stock tune is in the tuner and the custom tune is in the car.

I had the car dynotuned WHILE the custom tune, from the SCT tuner was on the car and the stock tune still in the tuner. (married) EFI Alchemy (shop) loaded a custom tune straight to the car via dyno-tune using EFI Live and not SCT.

So, I'm left with a tuner that still thinks the car has the custom tune on it. So the tuner is married to the car. I can unmarry it by setting the car back to stock, but since my tune was not put in with my SCT tuner, and in fact is an EFI Live tune, it would only set the car back to stock. Leaving my tuner free and unmarried, but my car back to stock. I would then have to find a way to get my tune from EFI Alchemy (shop) back into my car. He does not use SCT. AND he is in Jacksonville.

I could use the stock Magnuson tune, which is also in my tuner, but it's 50 rwhp short. Which I suppose would be ok till I get it sorted but I need a plan of attack.

Peice of cake.

Could somebody check my work. I have a headache.
ok.....that makes perfect sense....thanks!

It Doesn't, it will upload what ever is in there as stock but not if it is Locked by the Previous Tuner.

According to UPS tracking, my SCT will be here tomorrow! I hope to get it loaded and the files off to Ted before dinner!

I tried to understand what does a torque converter means but I couldn't get it at all, but if it gives those results am tempted to buy it.
1)is it good for a daily driver?
2)I live in the middle east so will heat be a problem?
3)What does it really do in simple words?

Not saying you cant', and I have ZERO doubt you are one of the best. I just don't want to lose a single pony if I don't have to.

Ted tuned my car and it goes ok. I think you can trust that Ted will be able to give you the best balance of power and driveability.

A Torque converter is a fluid coupler between the engine and transmission.

Stall speed is basically where the engine will Stall or stop gaining RPM if you hold your foot on the brake and the gas at the same time.

Factory Stall speed is about 1600 RPM Our Torque converter can be built with specific Stall speed to match your combination and what you are doing with it.

Our Custom Stall speeds range from 2000-4000, with 3000 being most typical.

Yes ours do not add any heat or change the way the car drives under normal light throttle driving.

When you hit the gas hard it allows the engine to flash up to say 3000 then really applies the power to accelerate the car.

Hope this Helps.

Ted.
