I suggest finding the latest edition of the Chevrolet performance parts catalog and locate an authorized performance parts dealer close to you. If they give you problems then there's an issue with GM. If the part is in the catalog(which it is along with recal notification) then an authorized dealer will be happy to order and help get it installed correctly. In the back of the catalog is a listing of dealers by state along with a contact name and number

I looked and saw only three authorized dealers in NY. East Rochester, Riverhead and Copake Falls

Not sure what fees are? Not sure what the parts cost at the dealer. I scored a pretty good deal on here for the gear/install kit with pinion bearings and seal for $350 shipped. I pulled the pumpkin myself and handed it to a friend of mine that is ASE certified and real good at this. $200 and he set the new gears for me. All in all, $550 plus a quart of lube ($10) and I was rolling. Still have less than 100 miles on it. I've been well behaved, but can't wait to let her rip! |
