I took some pics of the bottom of a hellcat while it was on a car carrier. The mufflers on that thing are very small. Probably explains why the car sounds like a beast straight from the factory.

The 275 tires don't look bad at all. What I mean is that they don't look out of place at all. Of course of they were wider they would look that much better but in person they don't seem out of place like I thought they would.

I sat in a Hellcat at the New York auto show and the seats were amazing. They didn't feel cheap at all like my 2010 SS seats did. The sides were bolstered just enough to keep you in them but not too much where they are uncomfortable.

The big tough screen was nice. What caught my eye was the gauges, they were freaking cool. That engine takes up almost the entire engine bay of the car. I can see them having a tough time makin that car physically smaller. The engine would be busting out the sides lol. Hopefully they'll use lighter materials and save some weight that way. Bad news is that's probably gonna translate to the car costing more to make.

Also, they did roll the lips on top of the fenders, plenty of clearance to put a bigger wheel/tire on there.
Have you sat in a 14 1LE or a 14 ZL1 that comes with recaros ? Or maybe a Z/28?

Yep. I did sit in a z28. I still think the hellcat seats felt better.

You're probably one of the few that feel that way. IMO the Recaro's are far superior to the seats offered in the SRT HC, SRT 392, RT, etc. in comfort, bolstering, style, and quality. The seats offered in SRT's are middle of the road between regular seats and recaro's. I'm not saying they're bad but not top tier either.

I wish I could put into words exactly what I didn't like about the z28 seats. They felt pretty close to what my SS seats feel like, only difference was just more bolstering.

The hellcat's seats just felt more comfortable. comfortable is the best way I can describe them.

Maybe the nicer look of the hellcat's interior contributed to me feeling like the seats were more comfortable.

More comfortable like a Buick (softer padding/more cushion) or more ergonomic (firm but support in the right places)? May I ask what your frame is like? The Recaro's are often described as uncomfortable for larger people with broad torso's. I haven't driven the Hellcat but the SRT seats I find comfortable but not ergonomic. I'm pretty lean though (6'1", 165lbs) thanks to distance running. Recaro's tend to be firm-very firm but supportive and easily tailored. My SS seats by comparison were more comfortable but after 2-3 hour drive the lack of support was notable. I have driven 12+ hours in the CTS-V Recaro's without discomfort. The thigh-extensions and ventilation contribute nicely.

I'm a bit on the larger side, 5'11" 235, and the few cars I have sat in with Recaro's were very snug. For me, they would be amazing seats in a weekend/toy car but I don't think I could live with them for everyday driving.

Not so much the padding (although it did feel softer then the Camaro seats). But more comfortable in how it supported me. I tried sliding around side to side and both my ass and my back were held in place pretty good.

I'm about average size I would say. 5-11 and 188lbs. I lift weights So my back and shoulders are broad. That might have had some influence on the comfort but I think there was more to it than that.

I attribute some of it to the much nicer materials dodge used for the seats.

OH, Ok! I'm surprised that you think the interior looks so much better than a ZL1's because I don't care for it really. Nothing unique really and I liked the four Speedo gauges from the 08-14's better but that's just me.

It's like everything else man. Just. Just a matter of taste and opinion. When I test drove a ZL1 three years ago I was totally not impressed by it. The exterior look of the car is phenomenal but the interior to me was just inferior in look, materials and feel. My wife's car had a better interior.

Well I'm talking about design wise not material.

The new challenger interior is boatloads above the previous year.To me, the interior does encompass the driver, However, in comparison to my camaro I still like the camaro. I really like the way i sit and ride. On the 2010camaro i just like how it takes me back to when I bought my 71 cuda in the early 80's. The challenger makes me think I am driving my old dakota RT truck were I sit higher. I know the bunker feel of a camaro is not for everyone but once you get used to it, At least i , really enjoy it.
