Brandywine5's '13 1LT/RS CRT
Hi there,
Up until I got this Camaro, my first, I have driven a wide variety of vehicles starting with a Chevy Vega my parents gave to me once I had my license. Others I've owned were a '70 Pontiac Bonneville, Chevy Blazer, Ford Fiesta, two BMW's 3 series models a BMW 520 and Z4. 90's VW Passat an East German Trabant and a '97 Chrysler LHS. The '09 Charger, which I gave to my wife, was my first new car. I also drove a few 7.5 ton trucks and while in the military an M60A3 MBT and an M1A1 Abrams MBT. I have also driven tons of rentals, including a few base Mustangs. When I saw the first prototype of the 5th Gen Camaro back in '06, I told myself that I will have one of these when the time is right. That day was June 20, 2013. The next day, mod fever bit me. As I became serious about getting one, I came across Camaro5 forums quite often in Google searches. It turned out to be the best source of information I could find. I don't belong to any other forums, no need to, but this was one I couldn't pass up. So, here I am, starting a build thread! Pics to follow... |

Just arrived at the dealer
Shocked to learn that holes were drilled to hold the plate mount, I had them agree to repair the bumper, in writing, before I signed the papers. The next two are photos in front of my house right after drove it home. |

Going for an evil grin...
I have decided to go with blue LED lighting behind the grille.
Big shout out to the C5 community for sharing their stories. I found most of what I needed to do from your posts. I set my camera up on a tripod and took some frontal shots at dusk. Got that god awful license plate off and the bumper repaired. I'll clean up the glass next time.

I have a few Plasti Dip things in my head and want to see how it holds up before I take on anything serious. So I experimented with the front bowtie a little.
We'll see how it holds up. Hefty's Final product.

Love the blue in the grille, check out my build thread! I have some pictures of plasti-dip on the bowties and the tail-light bezels. Holding up great and has been rained and hailed on already.

Been awhile since I updated this. Got quite a bit done but most importantly the interior is finally up to speed.
It used to be the standard 1LT with those cloth inserts. That was eliminated during the first week. Put on the ZL1 pedals last year. Gives a better grip to the shoe sole. Got the seats and steering wheel about a month ago out of a 2013 1LE (Plug and Play!!). Been searching for the seats for a long time. The unit in the middle console controls my sound processor. The look and feel is great. Next on the list is an MGW short throw shifter.
