Well, this bull cornered quite well as it's competition found out. The hard way

you could have over 1000ft lbs on the truck in no time. nice Quote:
did you go with an "addition system" that just adds airbags for more payload capacity or did you go with a full spring replacement airbag system? what brand/company? I've been looking to do the same with my truck.

SSE 4 2SS post...
I could have but that would have hurt the car budget.... so... Priorities... As for the air bags... It's the Firestone airbags and high durometer bump stops... The bump stops are longer, and adjustable... The air bags provide 1000 lbs additional lift to the rear springs... and there is about 1.5 inches clearance between the bump stop and the axle stop plate... The springs hold the loaded trailer just above the stop plate... and then on bumps the stop helps prevent bottoming out or sagging so far that it throws the truck out of a stable condition.... Works great so far... I bought all my trailer additions from E-trailer.com and USCargo.com... Very good service and delivery. Quote:

Good to know. I've looked into the assist style kits and the full replacement style kits. been debating on which way I want to go. tho I think Traction bars are next on the list. once I get the carrier bearing replaced

Hmmmm, cups may be too, just need a 24mm, hammer and a punch. DISCLAIMER: If you read this and do it, you're an idiot. This is Camaro5 where we joke, kid, poke, laugh, cry, post, etc etc, not a place to learn common thievery and the like. I list the necessary tools in jest, as in the category of "joke" and not a DIY on how to do this. If you're rear cradle suddenly becomes dislodged as a result of missing cup(s), I can not be held accountable for your misfortune. Should said "thief" comment that he learned this trick on the "internet", he will be flogged immediately by thousands of diehard Camaro enthusiasts; not to mention car guys and gals around the world that would agree that said thievery is "f'd up dude" That is all
