I don't need a Z28 or ZL1; I have a Pony, GT, GT500, Shelby and Boss killer already. Wooooo....hooooo.......

I would buy a Z/28 in a heartbeat(no pun intended). I just hope GM steps up thier game and makes it reliable and able to handle mods easily like a mustang does. I just had to have my whole transmision and driveshaft replaced so I am pretty leary of the durability of these cars. All I have are long tubes and a cold air intake and NO TUNE. Maybe I got one of the bad output shafts or something since its an early build. But if it couldnt handle that..... I wouldnt trust it with the procharger I had planned on doing.

YES YES YES, we need a Z. Why people think that the Z28 is a bad option I just don't get it. The ZL1 while cool if priced at 50K or above in this economy with the Grand Sport Vette being 55k and a much better car is a no brainier. The Z28 if done right would be way more affordable, w better fuel economy unlike the ZL1. If you ask me scrape the base Vette and the ZL1 an build a Z28. Now hows that for stirring the pot.

P.S. this is all in good fun so don't take it to heart.

GM could easily design a z28 with a true ram air, different cam, less stuff and sell them

I would love to see a z28 but for me to buy it...
This is what I would want

1. Bare bones car
2. at lest 300lbs lighter
3. and a LS7 or another NA engine with a little more power
4. Smaller lighter wheels
5. same price as a 1ss

If not I would rather keep modding my SS!

You do realize that #5 makes #s 1-4 completely impossible, right?

I'd plan on modding your SS, and HAVE FUN (I mean that sincerely!).

This isn't going to happen, so keep on modding.

I expect the Z/28 to be priced between the SS and the ZR1.
