LT vs ST Headers
I'm wondering what's the difference between installing LT vs ST headers?
Do the ST need to have a tune? Power Difference? Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

Don't get shorties. Long tubes for sure.
Neither HAVE to have a tune, but you won't get the most out of them until you get it done. Here is a good link: http://www.corvetteforum.com/article...termarketnews/

Also, you may want to check out Stainless Power LTs. They are awesome. Ordered mine through Apex and they were on my doorstep in about 3 days. Best bang for your buck.

Depends on your future plans. Here is a good thread:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288490 If you plan on going FI (forced induction) in the future go ahead and get biggest you can. I have the 1 7/8 personally.

With the availability of 1 7/8" headers for the SS I would go that route.

pfadt lt rock you will need a tune to turn off the rear o2 sensors unless you like driving around with the cel on all the time. Also a tune is recommended to get the most out of your headers the only down side to that is your powertrain warranty gets voided.

This is the very reason I tell people to search for their answers before starting a thread. You started with one set of questions, then proceeded to ask two more. If you had searched for your answer to begin with, more than likely you would have found the answer to your other questions.

Go with 1-7/8ths. The 1-3/4 headers are ok, but considering the price, you might as well get the larger ones. Besides, the larger ones make more hp and tq everywhere in the RPMs.
As far as LT vs ST, get the ST headers if you wish to retain your OEM cats for inspection purposes as well as to keep the warranty intact. With the STs you can keep the OEM cats. And I would not suggest getting LTs without a custom tune. |

Thanks for your order and the mention. Stainless Works makes a great set of headers and saves you a little money over the other US made brand name headers.
