Thumbs up VIDEO: 2010 Camaro vs. 68 Camaro / Mustang GT 500 / '72 Chevelle drag races

As featured on homepage.

This is a drag race on bridge between a 2010 Camaro and 1968 Camaro, both with the same exact options packages (both are SS / RS). The 1968 convertible Camaro is not stock however. It has a 406 cubic inch V8 with 5-sped manual and 3.73:1 posi rear end. The 2010 Camaro is stock.

Other videos:

Against 72 Chevelle big block

Against GT 500

Even with the beefed up motor, and much lower weight, the
new SS prevails over the old SS. All hail to the chief.!!

Kinda looks like Lake Shasta or Whiskeytown up by Redding but I haven't been there in at least 9 years. Waiting for video to load since it's kinda slow here. Should be cool. Can't wait to repower my 68 with an LS3 or better. I really enjoy the new engines GM is making these days. Not that the old ones were bad but these have power, fuel economy, reduced emissions...what more could we want. So sad to see GM wherethey're at but I can't blame them entirely. We wanted hot rods for the most part and they delivered while still meeting EPA guidlines. I just think that's some pretty good engineering right there. Keep the faith GM folks. It'll be hard at times but our cars and trucks still have lots of miles left in them.
