Possibly ordering this soon. ABRA is doing the work since I was in an accident and insurance is paying for it. Any tips? Does it come with instructions on how to make fit?

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Ugh....

So I have been harassing ofer for a while...lol

New zl1 bumper is on along with new zl1 harness. I know the fogs won't work without the harness. No prob. I think ofer has one otw. But, my hids wont work. I mean hid drls. Hooked up just like on the old bumper. Anyone have this issue?

Contemplating just ripping out the new harness and rossing the old back in.

Help?

Also consider installing our ACST1 ports on a Zl1 front end conversion...

With the old harness, I had the DRL's hooked up so they would be on full time. I hooked them up on the new harness and forgot....there was no T tap into the positive to keep them on full time. Duh me....

Now I have to go back and remember how to do the rest of the wiring.

I need to T tap into the side marker to the DRL's...oh hell, never mind. I have to go back and look at my wiring again...lol

install question

My friend in texas (where my car is at his shop) just had a zl1 front end come In. Im not sure yet if its oem or aftermarket. If its aftermarket will I still need all the other parts? And if its oem I need new absorbers and extensions? I have a 2ssrs so from what ive read my fog lights will fit into the bezels but then what about the lower fog light? I have the acc kit so my fog lights come on with the halo's at all times. This thread has gotten so massive its hard to find exact answers. Thanks for any help!

can't answer on absorbers. I think you need new ones with the new ZL1 kit. They aren't expensive anyway.

DRL's will go in. You will need to modify the ZL1 bumper adding a bracket to hold the DRL's OR....you can get with Ofer from Gen5DIY and pick up a bracket from him. You will also need to buy new fogs with the ZL1 bumper. If you buy the stock fogs, they are yellow. You can upgrade the fogs with white lights also from Ofer. And...believe it or not, you can ALSO get harnesses (just about any type you want) from Ofer as well.

You can either use your stock headlight harness from your original bumper or you can get a new harness. If you use your stock harness, you will need to get a new fog harness from Ofer to make it work. Well...if you get a new harness you will ALSO need to get a new fog harness. So either way, you need one. lol.

I got the halo harness and drl harness so both are on full time. At night, all lights are on.

If you swap to the ZL1 bumper, I'll buy your SS bumper.

1: line up the cowl lines to fit a non ZL1 hood.
2: cut out the lower Air deflectors. (the ones that block air from the wheels)
3: drill 2 new holes for the wheel well liners, so the line up wit the placement of the holes on the new bumper.

hope that helps the rest is removing the old bumper.
The cutting of the "air deflector" - is that specific to V8 or do V6 have them too? and can you post a pic of what needs to be cut.

Also, what is the "wheel well liners"? Is that the extension piece below (Part #22895341)?
