What specific cues are from the 2nd generation?

Who wants the new tail lights to be just like the original ones? They're similar enough to the '69 regular tail lights, while still being a fresh rendition, in my opinion.

To each his own, I guess. I'm still not sure I understand your statement about styling cues from the 2nd gen, though. There's kind of a little bit of each generation in the 2010 model. But a lot of the cues come from the first gen.

the 70's vettes and the 70's Camaro really had similar tail lamps
and as mentioned above i guess they took the tail lamps from that era and squared 'em off to look similar to the '69

Nice Camaro you've got there camarolt76. I also have a 76 Camaro Type LT. I also got my Camaro at age 16. I also have a 2010 SS/RS on order (in black). I don't plan to ever get rid of my 76. I'm 42 years old now though. Below is my 76.
