Thanks for the feedback on the bubbles. I'm going to push the issue with the dealership now. I want and re-do!
I honestly would tell them to give you your money back instead of ordering another one and get your car done somewhere else. I wouldn't be surprised if out of retribution they do something to your car behind your back like loosen a screw here or there.. Same thing a cook sometimes does when you return a dish after saying it wasn't done properly.. They obviously are already telling you that it will go away and that it is normally supposed to look like that. I would not trust them with anything they tell you..

His dealer hasn't acknowledged there was a problem after looking at it already. Having the dealer "do it over" may not be as simple as you make it sound. When you take it to your dealer a third time and show them that the bubbles are still there, if they acknowledge their mistake and tell you they will re-do the job as best they can, make sure they hire a different person to install them..Preferably someone with more experience. If after taking it back this next time they still give you trouble, then I would recommend asking for your money back and getting out of there..

Yep, if I can just get them to acknowledge their mistake. They want me to leave it out in the sun for another week and insist that they will work themselves out.

Ridiculous.

So any word yet as to what the dealer is going to or not going to do?

Dealer not returning my calls.

Dealer won't return my calls. I've left a message twice a day for seven working days and no response. Last week I drove to the dealership to visit with him but I got "he's in a meeting" from the body shop cashier who is apparently running interference for him.

Soooo, tomorrow I'm going back to the dealership and if I don't get to talk to someone in charge, I'll be getting with someone here to find the regional rep's number.

And I thought my frustrations were over once my car got out of Area 51 (QC) and safely home.

Angry THAT IS WRONGGGG!!!!

And if that doesn't work, go right to your salesman IN PERSON and TELL him he has to help you. If not, then you are going to write GM a nice little letter about the stage of events, naming the salesman and the dealership in the letter.
Let the salesman and the manger know that you are doing this. (They should be helping you right away after hearing that.) If not, then do write to GM and explain the events that have taken place and like I said, name the salesman, manager, the dealership by name, and include your pics of the car with the bubbles in the stripes.
GOOD LUCK!!!

depends on how bad it is. But I have had tint and stickers put on cars before. And they always said there might be a few bubbles in it, but the sun will take care of most of it. But if its really bad I would have them do it again.

Plus it's been like 2 and a half weeks. The bubbles would have worked their way out by now. They, the dealership, or whoever put them on, screwed up big time!

I had a couple of tiny bubbles in my stripes when I first got them on but for the most part there were NO bubbles...

After like a few days in the sun they did eventually disappear... but the bubbles you have are WAY worse than anything I had...

The scratches look like they smoothed out your stripes with the wrong applicator. That alone is enough to have these redone.

Sorry my friend... I think they botched your job.

:(

How the hell would sun decrease the volume of a trapped air bubble on a clearcoated surface? Mine came out perfect with no flaws and straight as can be. For $480, I would expect nothing less than perfect.

Take it back..

Thanks for all the back up. I think on top of everything else, I'm going to print off all the responses here so the dealer can see that everyone else's stripes were installed without bubbles or very few and how the rest of you feel about the crappy job they did.

Nothing like backup from the wonderful Camaro5 family.

I'm getting more enraged by the minute.

BTW, I left ANOTHER message today. Yep, no return call!
