CAT or NO CAT?

hey guys, ive been going back and forth on whether to remove my catalytic converter. i hear rumors that it might mess up my computer and the "check engine" light will be on at all times. then ive heard it doesnt affect anything and i will have HP gain and a louder exhaust. if anyone has any intel i would greatly appreciate it.

If you remove them your check engine light will be on and your car can run like crap if you don't get it tuned out by a shop that is willing to do so.

You have more than one cat and they are vital components to the emissions system. Without them your computer will notice and try to compensate, causing poor performance and a check engine light. You'd have to get it custom tuned to offset this, thus voiding your factory warranty.

It's also very illegal.

all you guys are wrong..... the check engine light will simply alert you that you have malfunctioning cats.... the rear o2's that monitor cats but do not offer any trimming values for the computer... the car will run the same, except for a annoying check engine light
