One of the folllowing pictures shows the passenger side foot for the cage... There will be three bars terminating here... The door bar, the rocker bar and the front down tube...There is lots of welding to be done... Corey has intentions of getting on that Friday...

We are going to try to get to the point where at least the six point full portion will be in and I can drive it to our Friday night gathering in San Antonio... Believe it or not, it'll only take an hour or so to get the interior back in shape... The rear seat wont go back in just for a weekend of driving...

The rough looking textured stuff on the flooring sheetmetal is a sound deadening material... and it is a pain in the backside to remove...I figured out that an aggresive burr bit in a die grinder works the best...

Also is a picture of the interior with Mike looking in from the other side... He's one of our San Antonio Gang and current college student...

Gettin' there R...

Putting in a rollcage - the right way - is not a small undertaking. Plus, you always want it done correctly. It could save your life one day. I am sure you know that better than most others given your previous profession.

You may even have to do some suspension adjustments afterward since it stiffens up the car a little more during hard launches.

B,

I'm actually really stoked about suspension modifications right now...

When I get my ne inch diff, not too far away now... I'll be taking my car to Fredericksburg Texas to have it Pedderized...

Pete is guiding me in the process of getting her ready for some seriously fast runs at the mile... we are going to do the full kit install, from the ground up... It'll be a better final package than having a piece from here and a piece from there...

I had an offer from another vendor and I'm very appreciative of it but I think I'm wanting a full one vendor package to insure compatibility and function...

Corey and I will probably install the nine inch diff and then take it to Pete's peep's for the balance of the package...

What is this mile? Is it an all out 1 mile run or something? I'm curious about this!

You start 300 feet from the edge of the Grand Canyon and head in...hence the rollcage and parachute on the back...

It's the texas mile. Instead of the 1/4 mile run, you go a full mile.

I'll be going to the shop tomorrow though...

It is moving along... I'm at the shop today but helping with other projects....

I took the car out to meet up with the San Antonio Gang Friday night, and if nothing else, the chassis is rigid as hell, and we still have five pieces of pipe left to put in...

The halo, the down pipes, and the tunnel pipes... This car will be tank rigid when we are finished... Combine that with a full suspension package and katy bar the door... I'm thinking I need to find some nice but dedicated race seats so I can sit a little lower in the car.... As it is right now I'll end up a knot head... mostly on the left side of my nogg'in...

The nice thing is we are at a point where we can work on Brandi as we get space and time rather than having the whole thing torn apart....

Pete, I'm trying to keep up with the Chicago toughness...

I have a feeling i have a little ways to go....

this is what I am worried about as well. I already have a hell of time fitting in my car with a helmet.. have to lean back far.

do i get new seats... or do i cut up the bracket and lower the seat ourselves?
