Practicality of the Camaro enigma

Im wide awake, its too early.... I've been reading through old posts on the forums about people arguing between V8 and V6 and M6 and A6, and the practicality of either set combination. This is only an opinion but im interested to hear others, the camaro, the mustang, the challenger, are not "practical" cars. The sports class, new age muscle, pony, etc...who would consider them practical? What would the typical individual do with one? I love my camaro of course. I just find it odd to hear the word practical with it. Thoughts?

It's not like you can take your Camaro to the grocery store to buy everything you need to make Thanksgiving dinner when 20 people are coming over. Then drop off all the kids to soccer practice with their gear.

No, it's not a "practical" car at all. It deserves all of it's accolades in being a "best buy" for a "sporty" car in comparison to others in it's class, but I agree that it's not "practical".

Having said that, the reason I have one is because I am single with no children. If I had a family, my Camaro could NOT be my ONLY car...it just wouldn't work.

I love mine as much as you love yours, Eviscer8r, but I do agree about it not being designed for practicality.

Nope.. not practical... but sure is a HELLA LOTTA FUN!!!
My kids are almost out of the house, they only occaisionally ride with me anymore.

As a single parent for almost 20 years, I've been a 4 door or suv guy.

Now it's time to play!!

Darn..why did I sell my paid off suv? I need a practical car also..sod, mulch, groceries, rain....... LOL

"Practical" is a sliding scale according to your needs.
I needed a Camaro. Practicality at its finest.

Very practical Beach car for me. Fits coolers, kites, etc.
Went twice last week. Everyone knows my car. Even the
local police.

I've come pretty close to doing that actually! The trunk holds a ton of stuff and I had two kids to pick up at school on way back from shopping. Really impressed and when the seat fold down - it's a niiiiiiice!

Not practical at all, our Camaro. Nor is owning more than one residence when you can only live in one house at a time, or travelling for business by air when one could video conference. It's not practical to purchase iceberg lettuce at 1.99 a pound when the leaf lettuce is 3 heads for a dollar. People make impractical choices all the time. Nature of the beastie.
But.... it's practically impossible to walk past a gen5 Camaro without looking now, isn't it?

I think the Camaro is very practical for me. As someone who is about to graduate college and wanted a "dream" car. The V6 Camaro provides me plenty of hp, good fuel economy, and decent insurance/car payments. It is the very definition of practical for a young'n like me. Just my .02

Drive it, wash it, wax it, be seen in it, mod it, know that you are part of the "modern muscle" movement, listen to the sound, admire its qualities, go back to where it was born and meet the people who designed and built it, press the pedal and ride the rocket that 3rd gear is, take the wife and neices to the beach in it, ... lots of things!
