Thanks! I'll see if I can get one on tonight so I can test it tonight and tomorrow and let you guys know how it works!

If this all works, can someone post an updated wiring diagram? The non EEs in the crowd need some "dumbing down" - or, at least I do.

Got any videos of this?

Yup. This was a quick video that I shot triggering the signals by locking and unlocking the car via remote.

Yes the brake lights also sequential. My original video in post one shows it if you watch it all the way.

I like this effect. Might have to try it myself

Thanks that all make sense now will see if i can't get a few resistors to put across the circuit.

Just finished the install! Luckily those big project boxes I bought were just able to fit a 50 ohm and 8 ohm resistor in parallel! I know, I know, together it's 6.9 ohms and only handles 32 watts but it's the best I could do! haha :P But I think it'll be fine since I've never seen the battery go above 16 volts anyways and it's working so far! I'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow since I should be doing a bit of driving! Here are the pictures of the wiring, the resistors I used, and everything in the project box.

ok I got lost somewhere I thought it was to be a 6 ohm at 35 watts??
closest I can find is a 5.6 at 25 watts or a 6.8 at 25 watts

Actually, N-type is what you want to use. P-type would make it reversed. I can make a schematic of how to wire it if you would like. Also, NPN is what you would use if you wanted to go with a BJT rather than a MOSFET.
