Went to the track

Hi, Im new to this forum and I had a ? Well first off I have A6 SS CAMARO and I did 13.36 but my first run out I went 14.23 leaving it in drive and the car shifted into 4th and the car fell on its face.On the 13.36 pass I left it in 3rd and crossed the line bouncing off the revlimiter. So my ? is should the car be in 3rd or 4th at the end?

Depends on your speed and RPMs

How about put it in M/S and let it shift for you.

It came to me after about the leaving it in m and let it shift by its self thats what I did with my 07 vette. But I didnt have it to long swapt it in for my zo6 5 months later. Going back this wensday I think with the car going 6000 rpms instead of 5300 rpms will get me 13.1s

I would leave it in 4th and get near 6000rpm at the end, shifting will just slow you down if you are that close to the end especially if your MPH is still climbing. I end up around 6200rpm in 3rd with a 13.28@104mph

You should shift into 4th gear, on your car you should hit redline (in third gear) around 102 mph. You definitely won't be faster bouncing off the rev limiter. Practice shifting just before redline so you never engage the limiter.
