I just put my set on the car with new wheels tonight. I went 315/275s, I will let you all know how they work out for me, but it may not be till the fest before I really get a feel for them.

I'm hoping to get back in the top 10 running if theres a Street tire M6 class like C5F3.
That's what I have on the back of my car.

Whew, I'm beat.

Did my BMR Toe rods, Pfadt Uupper control arms bushings, and only was able to get one subframe bushing out and a new one in before me and a buddy had to put the car back together. Dropping the subframe to work the bushings out is SO much easier than trying to leave it in the car. Lesson learned. 3 more bushings to go in next week.

Just did my Pfadt solid bushings this afternoon. Had cradle out and new bushings installed and ready to reinstall in about 2.5 hrs. Little bit of cleaning tomorrow before reinstallation. Not really a bad job at all with the cradle completely out. And a sawzall is really handy...lol

FACK! How did the sawzall method go? I ended up using a cold chisel and hammer to separate the plastic casing from the subframe housing. It was my first time dropping the subframe and messing with the bushings, so hindsight is 20/20. We had the subframe back in the car in less than an hour...SMH.

It's all good. It was a really great feeling for me to be able to drop an entire subframe and put it back together without issue.

I also used a torch to heat the metal casing, and then used the "socket against the frame" method to push the inner metal out. After that, we kept debating back and forth about dropping the subframe. Now that I know it's not hard at all, I can probably get the other 3 done in a few hours.

Really not a bad job at all. Sawzall worked great! It takes less than ten minutes a bushing, just have to be patient and aware so you are not accidentally cutting into the subframe. Make sure the blade is extra course and long enough to reach through the entire bushing length. You may be able to get away with just one cut and a really big hammer.

I am kind of in the same boat. I've got some money put back that was suppose to go to modding this car. I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around some things.

Example being...I want something to take to the dragstrip....and I'm having a hard time with this 3-4k for a drag wheel setup....

So I just installed an RX catch can that I bought from another member on here. It looked to be in good shape and it came with nice steel braided lines. I took my time and installed it correctly. Once the car was running I noticed an air sucking/leaking sound. So I quickly snapped the original U tube back in place and turned the car on, no sound. I then reinstalled the catch can braided lines, making sure everything was sealed and all the fittings were tight. Still get the air sucking/leaking sound. When I make a fist with each hand around each braided line, the air leaking sound becomes more quiet. It's almost as if the braided lines themselves are sucking in air? My catch can drain valve is closed!!

Is this normal, or do I have bad lines? I am thinking the lines might be junk. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

As much as I love my car there's just too much wrong with it. Weight, suspension, tires, brakes etc. I might as well just enjoy it and put the money towards the Stingray. Then I can DD my Camaro and only take out the Vette on a nice day.

While the vettes are VERY nice, there is the vette tax that makes EVERYTHING you do to it, $$$$$$$.
