It is a good idea. If we can get Chris to agree. After all, he's talking about the driver skill, not the car.

It's been like that for a while, but there were cars I'd leave alone/... just in case.

But now? It's game on.

Jed
3.6, turned up 7.3 pounds of boost. No BAP.

There was never even the slightest dip in pressure. And that's at 7.3 pob.

PQ, with a 3.6 pulley you said you are at 7.3 boost? I have close to the same setup but with a BAP and am at 6.25 Boost. ARH 3" long tube headers 3" exhaust.

Randy also has the Pipeline CAI which can give you a little boost and he has the 2.5" borla exhaust instead of the 3"

I'm guessing the combination of smaller exhaust and the CAI would be part of the reason he's making a bit more boost.

I have the same exhaust that you do and I necked down to a 2.5" muffler and I think I picked up a little bit of torque... You might want to try that also.

ARH Says that unless you are well over 600RWHP the 3" may be too big and recomend a 2.5" muffler.

Are you sure you have 3" headers and not 2"? (I can see a 3" exhaust, but I've never seen 3" primaries on a headers for these motors.) The larger the headers, the lower the boost. If you have 2" headers, I could see you having 6.25 lbs. of boost with the 3.6" pulley.

I think PQ has the same size headers I do at 1 7/8". I am also running the 3.6" pulley and have a little over 7 lbs. boost with my maggie just like PQ does.

I think he means he has 3" collectors on the LT's

But I agree the header pipes themselves are either 1 7/8" or 2". 2" header pipes would make for a bigger reduction in boost for sure.

And Emmas set-up being sooooo very similar to mine and mine being 20 ish lower in rwhp tells me that these wheels are truly killing me.

That's more loss from the crank.

It's really because I have the polished maggie. It's worth 20 rwhp easily.
